Pickleball is Alive and Growing in Popularity at IDCC, Court Improvements are Planned!

Current IDCC Hard and Soft Court Configuration

Several Years Ago, Pickleball Lines Were Painted on Two of the Tennis Hardcourts as Depicted Below. This was Done as Part of Routine Maintenance and To See if There Would be Any Interest by Our Owner-Members in This Growing Sport. This Remained for Some Time with Little to No Play,

UNTIL RECENTLY....

Under the Guidance of Our Tennis Pro, Conray deCuba, and Tom LaCroix, an Avid Pickleball Player and Tennis Committee Member, a Number of IDCC Owner Members Have Been Instructed at "Clinics" on How to Play the Game, It's Rules and Strategies for Competitive Scoring.

Over the Last Few Months, 8 to 10+ Members Have Been Playing Pickleball Twice a Week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Club Management is Encouraged by This Participation and Considers This Development to be a New Facility Which has Turned Otherwise Unused Hardcourts Into a New and Popular Sporting Activity with Participation by Growing Numbers of IDCC Members.

Improvements to the Existing Pickleball Courts are Planned to Make These Courts More User-Friendly and Enhance Playability. These Improvements are Depicted Below and, While Not Being Permanent, are Expected to Encourage More Participation by Members, Even to the Point of League Play, Which has Become Very Active Here on the Treasure Coast in Recent Years.
