IDCC Condition Update and Status

Generally speaking, all of the club's facilities "dodged a bullet" when Irma turned westward and made landfall in the Keys and near Naples instead of in our area of Island Dunes. We did however sustain significant damage with broken trees and debris on all holes, in and around the club entrance, parking lot, tennis courts, pro shop and bridges.
A number of the older and larger broken trees will have to be removed by professionals after being on IDCC property for decades. At this point we expect the tennis hard courts to be open Monday September 25, two soft courts open on Wednesday September 27 and the remainder as soon as we can get more material delivered and installed.
The golf course will reopen on or around Tuesday October 3rd so that cleanup can be concluded and we may finish the replacement project for the bridge between the 4th and 5th holes. That work was underway when the storm hit and caused a delay of at least two weeks or more.
A special "shout out" needs to go to Conray our Tennis Pro, Rick our Golf Superintendant and the entire IDCC staff for doing a great job cleaning up. The pictures below tell the story...
