The First Half of the Two-Tank Replacement Project is Nearly Complete
Our IDCC Board President, Bill Kirkland, is overseeing the entire project, starting with the delivery of the (very) large new water tank, shown below.

This is Bill Here, Checking Out the Delivery on the Big Boy |
This Semi Needed a Rear-End Extension to Fit It All In |
After Delivery is Confirmed, the Crane is Mobilized |
Here, the Crane is Removing the Old Tank |
And Places It On the Ground Until the New Tank is Lifted Off the Truck
Those Tanks are Over 30 Years Old and Have About 20 Layers of Paint. X-Ray Scans Required by the St. Lucie Fire Marshal Have Shown that Internal Cracks and Corrosion are Beyond Repair. Both Tanks Have Been "Red Tagged" for Immediate Replacement.
The New Tank is Being Removed from the Truck and Placed in a Storage Area Until New Supports are Built and the Old Tank is Placed On the Truck and Hauled Away.
Next Week We Will Begin Building the Supports.

In Addition to Water Tank Replacement, Siding was Replaced for the Fire Pump House, as shown Here and Below |
