March 2018 Golf Report Please Mark your calendar for these special events in March! Thursday March 1: Club Championship Finals Monday March 5 : The Crazy 8 Challenge! 9:00 Shotgun for the 2 BB of 4 event 11:30 Shotgun for the Scramble event. Shootout at 2:00pm. Friday March 9: Rookie League – chipping, 9:30-10:30. Monday Feb. 5: Ladies Member Guest Monday Pairings , 8:30 breakfast, 9:30 Shotgun start. Sunday March 11: Daylight Savings time Sunday March 18: Sunday nine holes Shamrock Scramble! Wear Green! Monday March 19: Short Game Difficult Lies Golf School 8:00-10:00 am. Learn the special short shots needed for your golf course. $60 Limit 6 students. Wednesday March 21: Ladies Friends in Pink 9:30 Shotgun . Sunday April 1: Easter Sunday. Course closed at 1:00pm. Major Progress on Upgrades to IDCC Facilities
Replacement of the deteriorated original roof section of the clubhouse has begun 32 years of wear is showing it's age... Hurricane Cleanup - Before and After Progress Conditions after Irma, much Tree and Shrub Damage to Decades-old Landscaping Landscaping After Several Stages of Cleanup and Damage Removal New Views at Entrance and Alongside Club Driveway New #8 TEE Box Thanks to the grounds crew for the beautiful new plantings on both sides of the entry to the new #8 tee box!!! (See Pics of the New Elevated Tee Below) Unfortunately, players are not filling in divots on this new tee box and are not repairing ball marks on the new green. Pietro’s is now open for lunch Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Thursday Feb. 1: Sign up for the club Championship. Dates are as follows: Thursday Feb 22, Monday Feb. 26, Tues. Feb 27(rain date) and finals March 1. All matches will be played on these dates. Check your calendar and sign up! Thursday Feb. 1 : Island Cup at the Ocean Club at 3:15. Dinner to follow golf. Sunday Feb. 4: Sunday 9 Holes at 1:00 due to Super Bowl. Monday Feb. 5: Ladies Member Guest Monday Pairings, 8:30 breakfast, 9:30 Shotgun start.
